Try to take a break every hour or two

The key is to take a break every hour or two to practice this technique. It might take some time for it to work and have lasting effects. The more you practice the looser your shoulders will become.

The reason you’re tense is because you’re thinking about things that make you stressed. By clearing those thoughts and relaxing regularly you can release the tension from your muscles. Since thoughts can make you stressed and tense, they can also make you relaxed.
